The new era is finally going away of this craft. Air test, lasing hoses, light b/o's all being done by switch men.

These newer switchmen cant even SWITCH much less do mechanical dept duties. Cant spot and pull industries. Cant cut and fill a train either: Yesterday had a train stop at the yard, work, and depart. 1st HBD, 100 axles too many. Plugged up everything on that side of the terminal. So yeah, they cant do their job properly but lets mix in another craft in there. Thats called LOSING

Switch men don’t know what a bad order is unless they themselves damage the cars by switching…they don’t know what bad wheels are they don’t know how to gauge wheels it’s all a joke managers ruined this railroad they have no brain to think for themselves all they tell you is “It’s coming from OMAHA”

More work to air test trains and switch the yard. Illegals in East LA do that for free at their yard

I was rehired as utility. Had no choice. Less pay, more work. I've been applying at other jobs, but so many of us are stuck.
