Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

The company is a business and has to be ran like one.

The company is a business its not personal. They don't care about you the employees. They do and cut what they think is in the company's best interest. It doesn't matter what employees think or if they see the impending disaster. Just like I don't carry SF insurance as its a conflict of interest for me. I don't care if the customers are not happy its above my pay grade to worry about. I don't care if we fall to number three not my problem. I have never and will never recommend Sf for employment or their insurance. My loyalty is only to do my job and take home a paycheck.

Unfortunately, it’s not being run as business very well. Bumbling leadership. We are about to lose market leadership and the rallying cry is to be “all in”. The prize is a red tshirt. No joke.

Do you know how much money has been spent to get us to the current state of enterprise systems and platform since 2014? Multiple billions. New iterations after scrapping previous initiatives. It’s not that transformation wasn’t needed. The execution has been abysmal. The 12 floor has had more turnover than a bakery

Some one should bring a class action against SF for unfair labor practices when the same job class can WFH and others cannot. They are doing the same work that requires no field work. It's even in mgmt.

The common thread always seems to be that whatever job an OP performs is the only thing keeping the company afloat. EVERYBODY else is incompetent, overpaid, over bonused, coddled, and having s-x with somebody else spouse in booze filled or---s.
You people are absolutely ridiculous.
BTW----it's "should be RUN like one". You would think geniuses of management and productivity would know that.

And the stupidity continues. THERE ARE NO OFFICES OPEN TO GO BACK INTO. SF IS NOT CURRENTLY OFFERING MOVE PACKAGES. They can't force employees into a make believe offices. And if they move the jobs to the Hubs they have to offer severence packages or a comparable job offer in same location which is currently wfh location. I cannot d-mb this down any more for you. Scream move them back into the offices all you want to but the majority of wfh employees are not even located in the states the hubs are located. I don't know why you think wfh is coddled. We are micromanaged beyond belief. SF can see every keystroke we make. It has already been determined we are more productive in wfh than in the office. Probably because we old timers are not interrupted by the incompetent new hires. Have fun in your office while I get more work done in my pj's.

WFH needs to get in the office. Too many premadonnas. Coddled! Yes! They do not report to an office. That's coddled and saves 2 hrs each day. None of you are entitled!

Absolutely run it like a business. Freeze the pension. Get employees back in the office full time. No more hiding at home getting a free ride. Get back to basics. We are here for our policyholders. Not for coddled spoiled employees

See a pattern in this post? I don't care.....I don't care.......I don't care etc. What made SF the #1 in the industry is that we did care not only for the customer but for each other. Now it's all about me and I don't care. Now it's chaos and everyone wonders why. Well GEE MR. WIZARD! Until the I do care comes back you will have a one huge manure pile that no matter how much you move it around, it will stink. Attitudes like this add more manure making more and more stench.

And they continue making bad business decisions. SF never admits a mistake. Instead of changing direction they will continue with the plan full force. Then the next id--t will come in and have a brainstorm and do the opposite. Its a never ending rollercoaster. Got to get those feathers in those caps. Even if the idea is completely stupid.

With ISU and U of I alumni (nepotistic) $ and project flow and consulting scams running the show in the pay to play decades long $ funnel with tech and data abuse galore

You guys are doing feed back forms rofl? I do the bare minimum to meet a 3 rating. No reason to brown nose in the hopes of getting a higher rating. I feel bad for people that actually try hard only to see people promoted because they can be manipulated into blindly shilling for the company

Agree. And I will not be doing any feedback forms. And if forced will do the bare minimum. Not my job to train these new hires that didn't get proper training, that will be taking our jobs at some point. That's on SF, not employees. Not taking time from my day or metric count to fill out anything extra. Don't care enough to, not my problem. If I see something wrong oh well, fix myself or not, move on. This is what the company deserves. Remember they don't care about you they must run it as a business. I must do the same and do my job as I'm being paid for, not all this other mess that SF created. I'm not being paid to care. Its basically a contract. They pay me to do my job nothing else. They can pay trainers to train.
