Hearing consistent rumors of pension plan to be soon terminated/bought out. Am I in an echo chamber, or that’s a rumor across the board?

it feels like the next "cost savings" thing some executive will do and will get a big raise for it while everyone else gets shafted
@OP A friend recently left the company and when he was working with Sunlife on getting his commuted pension they mentioned something about it going away for new hires
@cf Imperial is Canadian. There is no 401k...
Does anyone still offer a pension? Figured nearly everyone was doing 401(K) now
