@28z neanderthal field comment. You'll never grasp how the top 1% of corporate America uses you.

What has been brought into our workplace besides CAPEX reductions and layoffs?

Any organization with more than six members cannot sustain family/friendly culture. In fact, friendliness is fading away from actual families in modern times. If you are looking for true friendliness at work then you should consider moving to the countryside and start a family farm and raise cattle!

Like the movie Wall Street quote "Greed is Good". Greed is what destroys a company just like Enron, MCI. Keep purchasing those Employee Stocks to prop the sinking ship up.

Demise is certain. I left a few years ago and the amount of clarity I have now is amazing. It’s very obvious that the management at Hal lobby for their best interests and not the company’s. It’s sickening to watch it happen. So glad I left. I feel sorry for the family and friends I left behind.

I worked for a few years with Halliburton early in my career. There are a lot of words that could describe the culture at the time, but "friendly" wasn't a word that comes to mind for the most part. I'm fairly sure that didn't change over the years much.
