They Can’t Get Out of Their Own Way
Despite financial struggles, leadership continues to waste money—bringing in more of Gil’s Delta friends to the SLT while departments fall apart. Each new SLT hire adds to the toxicity, all while they hide behind hollow talk of “putting people first.” The reality? It’s about protecting their circle.
They’ve dismantled the RAC operations team, creating fear, confusion, and resentment. This move will cripple daily operations and bleed into the customer experience—an embarrassment for a brand with so much name recognition.
And while all this happens, we’re told with a straight face that we’ve invested in Hertz-branded rubber duckies. You can’t make it up.
Meanwhile, people in roles that require physical presence to be effective continue to work remotely and collect full pay—adding no real value—while those left behind after layoffs this week are told, “Be thankful you have a job.” What a joke.
