EPA orders Cordova 3M to sample, treat contaminated local drinking water

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has ordered 3M Company to sample local drinking water and provide treatment for chemical contamination around its Cordova, IL, facility. 3M has agreed to comply.

According to the EPA, at least 19 different PFAS chemicals have been detected in drinking water within at least a 3-mile radius of the Cordova plant. It also found that chemical discharges have occurred for more than five decades.

Please do not attempt to rationalize illegal behavior. There is no justification for poisoning human beings.

Why is the US congress not dragging the entire C suite for a warm and cordial congressional hearing.

Let's see how their " Science Applied to Life " BS works when they have to start answering tough questions at the national stage!

3M has knowingly and systematically poisoned Cordova’s drinking water for over 50 years.

I hope the applicable U.S. Attorney and the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois convenes a trial holding 3M officials accountable for their crimes against the people of Cordova, Illinois, the State of Illinois, and the people of the U.S.

This behavior is inexcusable!
