Annual total revenue for SAS is over $3B. What percentage of that is from V9?

"revenue allocation among products listed on any given invoice is done at the whim of the salesperson"
Could that explain a free inclusion in a bundle sale but counting the freebie as a sale? If so, that is a creative way of moving certain underperforming needles.
Abiding by GAAP will force a recalibration of that mindset.
"revenue allocation among products listed on any given invoice is done at the whim of the salesperson in question—and might well bear no resemblance to the real usage"
Hopefully that kind of gerrymandering won't happen under a GAAP system.
“@hs it’s actually readily available in a number of places (dashboards, legacy revenue systems)”
Unfortunately that information comes from compilations of invoices, and the revenue allocation among products listed on any given invoice is done at the whim of the salesperson in question—and might well bear no resemblance to the real usage of the products. At least that’s how it was 4-5 yrs ago when I last tried to propose reforms. I retired in 2021. I’m REALLY hoping this has changed but I’m realistic.

“ I’d be shocked if anyone on here has access to it.”
There are percentages floating around internally. You would probably be surprised given how Viya pessimistic people on here are.
An uncomfortably high percentage might be the reason it is kept under wraps.
If Viya was doing that good, it would be splashed all over the internet.
I'm afraid the V9 revenue is the biggest reason SAS is staying afloat.
The info on the V9/Viya revenue split is, to understate it vastly, highly confidential. I’d be shocked if anyone on here has access to it.

@ex+1jw5zhg1x I don’t need to imagine that. I know it to be true through facts.
V9 revenue is significant enough to keep quite a. few jobs intact. Maybe even yours. Imagine that!
If you have an active mind nothing is hard to imagine. Since imagination isn’t bound by reality make it whatever you want.
Not too hard to imagine that it is still very significant.
