"Starboard makes profits, its not a charity. Its an activist shareholder. Three directors? Why would you need three directors installed if you werent doing something radical?"
Clemmers will be CEO! You will see radical. Starboard wants its money.
"Would you really answer an employee survey honestly?"
If I knew they couldn't track it back to me, was done by an external company, without HR or upper management allowed to see nothing but processed results. Absolutely would.
You are not getting it. Management is the problem. Dead Wood, Bob Lacky, hiding in office, collecting a check, lived past its purpose management has to go, or nothing will change. It may not matter now.
Starboard now has three directors installed, they may not care about turning this around. Its worth more in parts. And the parts will have redundant entities i.e. bloated management, that will not be going along with any sale.

Clemmers will be CEO. Wait for then next BOD meeting, which will be called by the investors, the activist investors.
So long Bob Lacky. Every single one of you. Bye Bye
Would you really answer an employee survey honestly?
If you dont like your boss, do something your boss cant do. Get a new job. Without a doubt, more money, better benefits and you dont have to deal with any of the Q legacy hires.
My "supervisor" and the direct chain up, long time check collectors, out of of touch, and have done nothing to stay technologically current or develop a thriving workplace. Nosepickers is a good one. Its perfect.
Prime pickings for bloat layoffs. All of them replaced with one manager and team lead positions. It will save the company money. Should be the standard for this place.
Clemmers will be the next CEO. He will extract profit for Starboard. One way or another.
I agree with the idea of an employee survey. Let the employees tell their story. Keep it away from HR and the very management that is being assessed.
Then present the findings to "bloated" management. Watch them squirm in their seats.
Outsource HR, enough said about that trinket.
What is of interest to me is the new stock bonus "scheme" for executive management.
I cannot get my head around it. What have they been doing for the last three or four years. It takes options to get results? Can I try that on my boss please?
"When your boss becomes your friend, boundaries are eradicated. Your boss will assign you added responsibilities and not pay you extra for them. The friendship has a price"
I am not now and was never was "friends" with my "boss". Horrible managing style. Abusive workplace. Dysfunctional workplace. Stale work environment. Again, only at work, because in the outside world there would be repercussions for this type of behavior.
In the real world , I would have nothing to do with my "boss". Nothing in common, nothing to talk about.. Thats it. I have achieved much with my education,, I am more accomplished, have a larger diversified knowledge base and I treat people with respect and dignity. All people. And never, under color of authority, have I been abusive with a subordinate.
There is middle management bloat. And it will be addressed. There will be surveys. Hopefully HR get outsourced. And I get to watch some people that really deserve to be let go, get walked out.
Heck, Ill pack up Bob Lacky office boxes for free. Because thats the kind of person I am.
Same text on each of the boxes. Dunning-Kruger
▪︎When your boss becomes your friend, boundaries are eradicated. Your boss will assign you added responsibilities and not pay you extra for them. The friendship has a price.
▪︎Your boss may shield you for a time from complaints about you and your enemies. In the end your boss will choose his personal interests over yours. He will not hesitate to throw you under the bus if it furthers his agenda.
▪︎The same holds true with coworker-coworker relationships. With rare exceptions, coworkers will never be your friends. They will throw you under the bus if it suits their needs. And when you walk out the door for the last time you will be forgotten.
▪︎No one is irreplaceable outside the crystal palace. In this environment, mentors are few and sponsors are nonexisistent.
My coworkers and I chat about our boss. Pretends to be a friend but disses you to his superiors. And talks to you with that d-mb smile on the face thinking its got game. I hope ny manager gets the boot. Bob Lackey. Talks fhe talk, get technical, well Bob cant talk out of Bobs extremely limited expertise
Dead wood!
Sounds like your boss is a nosepicker
