Was talking with a vendor today and he's heard rumor the layoff details are coming next week. They didn't want to spoil everyone's holiday weekend. Anyone hear the same thing?

@OP So you "know a guy." Jeez, you guys just keep screaming about the hammer dropping knowing full well (as we all do) that it's coming. Then when it finally does happen you'll claim you "knew". Congratulations, you were right one time out of a hundred. It's called a guess, and not even an educated guess.

All the top companies are not hiring anyone except citizens. Look around the top performing companies. Those are not contaminated. I love your logic. Grow up.

Needs to be a flail or a morning star, a hammer not enough.
They are going to ruin peoples lives I doubt saving a three day weekend will make much difference. I am sure everyone expecting to be laid off will have a stress free weekend while they worry about their future.
Why would a vendor have more knowledge of the layoffs? Did Intel tell them to avoid the campus next week?
