Expat hating locals see expats easily performing their job and getting good results. Locals discount the skill and expertise required and think that looks easy. Locals kick out expats. Everything goes to he-l in a hand basket. Locals wonder what happened.

External and internal mandates keep requiring more local hires until the inmates finally run the asylum.
If you think Expats are useless, what about BTC Impats.
I have never encountered a legitimately competent BTC Impat.
BTC Impats are sent to learn, not to perform.
They should get Student Visas and not H1B.
In some roles, it is the "locals" who are the experienced ones. They keep things moving while people above them who are "in charge" and get all the credit get shifted around every 6 months - two years.
