Somehow I’ve become that person who complains about work but still shows up every day even though the pay’s mediocre, the workload keeps growing, and morale is in the toilet. I keep applying for other jobs, but then I chicken out when offers come in. Maybe I’ve just accepted misery as normal.

Ride it out. Do what you can or enough to keep them off you a-- and don't stress. Take your breaks and don't care. They created this mess and its not up to you to fix it. Learn to care less. This company has always been a sh-t show and always will be.

Sitting back watching leadership in this sh-t show they created and laughing my a-s off....I couldn't care any less what happens. Let it roll. Grab some popcorn and watch the show.
The best part of knowing SF is sitting back and watching leadership activity. After 30 plus years, I watch the company promote mediocrity and slopiness in work ethic. They promoted people who looked and had the appearance of what they wanted and not on work ethic. I watched the people around me get promoted. They were worthless and similarly had a worthless work ethic. I watched them sell their soul to the company at the expense of their family. I refused to sell my soul to any company nor should any of you. I gave them more than they gave me. You know you won when you can finally say to yourself, it really doesn't matter what "they" think because they don't matter even though they make you think they do. Believe in yourself and not the company. Believing in the company is like rocking in a rocking chair. You go back and forth and you go nowhere. Don't believe them. Believe in yourself!
It's a sh-t show. Always has been and always will be.
