Manual QA Looking to Leave NCR

Hello. I am a manual QA on the RPOS side of NCR. I was excited when NCR allowed us to work from home, especially because of the fact that the work we were doing was not hindered by covid. Even when we didn't get a pay raise and then a super low raise last year, it was okay becasue we atleast were working from home. I'm now comming in 5 days a week and my manager won't even let us WFH in December even tho literally no one will be in the office and we can just remote work or come and go on our own time and schedule. I've been applying to jobs but have learner that very few companies actualy use Manual QAs that don't have any scripting or automation knowledge.

I'm asking if any previous QA have left NCR to go to other companies and what you have done. Did you actually find companies that hire just Manual QAs or did you take some small cert class to learn a new skill and then find a slightly different job? Please help as i wish to leave before NCR ki--s RPOS, fires us all, and completledy shift C-Store to a version of Emrald or StorePoint.

If you’re in QA you have the logic thought process to pick up some automation skills. Lots of online course in pluralsight. You might as well take advantage of it whilst your here

Put your resume out on LinkedIn. Start applying for jobs. My employer in Alpharetta is actively hiring. Some job roles require on-site, other roles are more flexible. A former QA manager at NCR took the QA director role at one of our local competition. US citizenship required. Don't worry about getting extra training.
