Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Does PP not care about the destruction of St. Louis and the lack of FEMA support? Or does she just not know?

I've only been with the firm for a short amount of time, but from what I've gathered about Ted, I would suspect he would've been on the ground himself and probably pulling GPs and FAs out of the office to help clean up while putting all the pressure he could on FEMA to do their job. PP is silent on it, does she even know it happened since it didn't touch her penthouse?

Hilarious responses! I would not be surprised to see a response like this on Penny’s Page. They spin everything.

The responses above have to be satire and they are hilarious. To the OP. I hope someone at the top sees this!

I understand losing your home or going for days without power can be challenging. We've partnered with Headspace to provide you with resources to help you through this challenging time. Some guided meditation should make things all better.

First, let me say how deeply sorry I am to hear about the devastation caused by the recent tornado. The images I’ve seen — houses leveled, belongings scattered, lives turned upside down — it’s just… unimaginable. Well, almost unimaginable. I remember a few springs ago, a windstorm knocked over the pergola by our outdoor kitchen. Our dinner party had to be moved indoors. So yes — I understand how disruptive these things can be.

My heart is with each and every one of you who’s been affected. I’ve spoken to several leaders about the situation, and we all agree: it’s just so brave of you to carry on. That kind of resilience reminds me of when our pool cleaner showed up unexpectedly while my husband was still home. You adapt. You stay gracious. You push through.

Now, I do want to gently remind everyone — especially those who’ve suffered losses — that our clients are still counting on us. So yes, we will be expecting all team members back at work on Monday. We understand some of you may be staying in hotels, cars, or with extended family, and we are so inspired by your determination to show up anyway. After all, showing up during adversity is the true Edward Jones spirit.

Please check Penny's Page for a list of resources, including a pamphlet on emotional wellness and, I believe, a coupon for discounted air mattresses.
