I was abruptly laid off from accounting/rev cycle this week. Only given 4 weeks severance. Seems strange as NYPs profit margins are very healthy. I wonder if there was a legal settlement that came out recently that they they now used to take advantage and make cuts to departments….

I'm also being laid off. My last day is at the end of June and also got 4 weeks severance. I have worked here for 2 years.
sorry to hear that. May I ask how many years of service you have if you don't mind me asking? We should give everyone an idea of how severance is being structured.
