Thread regarding Medical Solutions layoffs

Well sh&$!

Been concerned about my travelers on assignment finding this page. It happened. Trying to explain the situation and to calm down. Of course they are way smarter and know their worth. FML!

Every Tom, Di-k, and Harry knows about this page. MSG is the laughing stock of the industry. Nurses don’t want to do business with this place. Can’t blame them.

To the original poster, what are you trying to explain? Are you trying to play it all off as “ok” or something? They should get out and move on to someplace else just like everyone internal should do. I hope you aren’t giving them false hope like the company has given all of us for well over a year.

Was in a room with hundreds of traveling's nurses back in June 2024. Most already knew and had opinions on the matter. Had many conversations with them and they were asking questions. Many already stated they stopped taking contracts through Medical Solutions and have gotten contracts through other companies instead. Trust and believe most already know or have heard rumblings.

The comments they were saying about how they are treated on contract was enough for most to not retake a contract through the company. But also didn't like how the current employees were being treated like a number with all the layoffs and couldn't support a company like that. The nurses heard about all this and don't support the changes and the way the company is treating its employees. At the end of the day, people talk. Nurses talk about their experiences with travel companies. They know and even knew back during that time I was speaking to them about it.

I cant wait for the more conservative travelers to realize they're talking to someone from another country (The Philippines). Medical Solutions is going to lose a lot of business because of this and it's hilarious because people from the Philippines actually speak pretty fluently in English from my experience, but they'll take that lower pay, which is what this is all about at the end of the day. Profits over people. This will not sit well with the xenophobic, old school nurses who "wish they could speak with people from America."

I love it in a way because since I was laid off through no fault of my own, I understand now why there's so much hatred towards outsourcing. I don't hate the people from those countries. but I do hate the jokers running these large corporations ruining people's lives. For those still at MedSol, save your money, collect your severance, and be prepared for the worst. You will make it.

The initial post sounds like someone from corporate faking being a recruiter in an attempt to squash the conversation here.
