We’re all on an escalator that drops off suddenly in the middle of the sky, leaving us to plummet to the earth below.
You could aim for a 4 (Exceeding expectations) by working hard and overtime to finish all your assigned tasks ahead of schedule, to take on additional responsibilities and/or work, and complete them effectively, but the chance of attaining that rating is remote because only the chosen few individuals who build positive relationships with management will receive such rating.
Until the us workers unite and rise up, we will continue to be toss like a salad.

I learned this lesson years ago. Aim for a 3 (meets expectations) and call it a day. Don’t spend more than 5-6 years in the same position. Senior leadership su-ks monkey ba--s. We don’t have two nickels to rub together.
