Still no job. Not unless you're willing to take a 50 percent pay cut, which I'm still not in a position to have to do. But ask me again in three or four months if nothing better turns up.

Maybe, just maybe, the fact that people are paid 15-50% more than market is the reason for the need for layoffs....someone is always coming for your job, US Nielsen employees just got complacent..
Took a break from the Nielsen nonsense for a few months then jumped back into employment making @ 15 percent less than what I was making there. After six months and a promotion I began making more than twice what I was making there, with better bennies and work life balance. Gotta hit the reset button and move on from the black holes called Nielsen / Gracenote. There's an entire world of opportunity and employment out there.
That’s where you take the pay cut within the first couple of weeks and keep looking for a job. Some money is better than no money. Keep going.
Well taking a 50 percent pay cut is better than having zero pay. Sounds like that more of an ego problem. Either way, life has to move on man. take what you can get.
