I am an executive with the company. What happens if I use my pto before I earned the time and the quit. Will the company dock me for my 2 unearned days?

@39w Let’s get a few things straight:
- Executive ≠ HR expert. Not every leadership role comes with hands-on HR training or deep policy know-how. That’s why companies have dedicated HR teams.
- Asking questions is smart. It’s called due diligence—better than assuming or guessing and risking a policy breach.
- Grammar checks first. If you’re going to lecture on “knowledge,” maybe proofread your own ALL CAPS riddled post before calling others “D-MB.”
So no, asking how unearned PTO is handled isn’t ignorance—it’s responsible leadership.
So incredible no wonder wonder MACYS is going out of business. Promoting assoc without any KNOWLEDGE of H/R --people skills there states LABOR LAWS.. before u accepted the executive position you should of taken in class/online classes. You need to be able to answer any&all PTO QUESTIONS as an executive ONCE again Macy's is Promoting unknowledgeable assoc to save payroll JUST TRULY D-MB EMPLOYEES just check out northern California stores
They do not take back anything! Use it all up and quit! When you first start, you have. I thing until the following year. It is not unearned PTO as all of corporate wants you to think. I did what you’re trying to do. No payback of anything and I went on my merry way! Don’t leave them with your money! Make sure you use the SICK PAY they don’t even cash you out for (it’s your money).
Yes, they take back any unearned PTO. Whether you are retiring, terminated, severanced, you WILL owe anything. EVEN execs.
I say no because when my store closed I used whatever PTO I could and they didn’t charge me back for it on my final paycheck. I say use what you can!
you mean "and then quit"? well what i would do is take all your PTO asap and say you have family issues.. then come back and quit
