None of that is true. Actually, customers (patients) will get benefit from the automated improvements AI could bring. Such as almost instantaneous Rx filling, maybe even after hours emergency Rx filling. Ever taken your 1 year old to the ER at 9pm for an ear infection and need that antibiotic like right now? All career paths are going to have to adjust as AI does more. Even if you’re a Navy fighter pilot, AI will be flying your plane soon. And maybe operating on the cornea in your eye. AI is coming you can bet it will be everywhere. Don’t be a dummy, look into your career future and get on board with where technology is moving. Be ready to adopt new ideas and methods, otherwise you’re going to see others pass you up in earning and opportunity.
The days of all the staff in pharmacy will soon come to an end. Refills will be done by a machine , central fill or mail order. Most of the pill counting will be done by machines . Pharmacist won’t check inside bottles for the right medice a machine will do it. The pharmacist will oversee the initial inputting of the rx only. Most of the interactions will be checked by AI., may not even need pharmacist at the retail level. Pharmacist will do vaccines antibiotics etc. pharmacist will do 1000-1500 rxs a day using AI. Only a few local pharmacies will survi. Pharmacy is going to drastically change,. The number of pharmacy techs will decrease by 2/3 pharmacist jobs will decrease drastically. Retail pharmacist jobs at Walgreens CVS Walmart etc will decline by 20,000 to 100,000 jobs in the coming years
