Despite my being well over 50 - and experiencing numerous job rejections clearly due to age - I persevered and I am close to a formal offer from a far more prestigious and respected healthcare company at significantly more compensation. The hiring manager clearly saw my age and experience as an asset. PepsiCo is adept at beating down their employees, humiliating them and giving little reason to build a career there. Know that once you accept that it is not YOU - it is THEM - you free yourself up to have the confidence to better yourself by leaving. I plan to be “respectful” of my coworkers and give some notice - but only enough to transfer my duties in a professional manner. If that can be accomplished in a week - that’s all this failing enterprise will get. To my soon to be former colleagues-there is hope no matter how bad it may seem now.

Then reality kicks you in the mouth and you get laid off. Nice dream.
@et+1jvhj6a6t Thanks for the post! We all needed it
Worked at PEP for 35 years. Put 5 kids through college. Paid off a home. Have 7MM+ net worth as sole provider. Started as a FL route sales ended as a director. Hated the last 15 years. Reminded myself every day that the life I was able to live was built on my ability to endure this shtshow for a little longer. Stay with it. FL and bevrages are a complex competitive business that doesn't have a scaling profit model like big tech. The only way to go up is for you all to give more flesh. Spirit of the beast. Bank the retirement, max out 401k, move around and take relos. Experience the world. Never miss an opportunity to have fun with your team. Your manager, director or vp are under the same pressure you are. The board is extremely frustrated as well. We are a dividend stock here to pay rich investors bills. laugh more.
Good Luck. I’m right behind you.
