Product engineer here for 10 years with frustrations

Hear rumors about my salary will be slashed in haft in coming quarters and high chance of being laid off. Please don’t cheat me this way or I will make your products like shi t. I am tired of this shi t place with more work low pay.

It cannot compete with other high tech companies so it tries to cut your salary in order to compete with McDonald low tech product engineer to be survived.

Intel HR doesn't understand statistics. The proof of TSMC salaries will help unlock the value of intel. If TSMC is able to do it, so should Intel. Sorry, we cannot pay more at this time. Also 996 is possible. TSMC is able to do it, so should Intel.

Proof. Average TSMC salary in Taiwan is 2,425k TWD and the median salary is 1,851k TWD. It also mentioned TSMC salary global median salary is 2,060k TWD (including Taiwan)

If I were you, care for yourself first OP to get away from your frustrations. If they are going to slash your salary in half then just do half of your work and half of your time to get half of the products finish. Let Intel and your manager deal with the other half. Sounds fair enough?

Salaries are too high. To defeat TSMC, the salary median needs to be around $70k, across the board. Managers shouldn't earn more than $100k unless they hold atleast 50 patents. What is the ROI for Intel to have these freeloaders?

If these salary posts are true it’s really a good viable solution. I am surprised it has been done already. And those with these outrageous salaries really have no choice. Quit? Ok and go where? No on wants to hire Intel employees and even if you do get lucky your new salary will be just what your slashed salary is- so why move? This really needs to be looked and considered if they are serious about saving and turning Intel around
