There are a couple of individuals around here that are overdue for a doctor visit. There is a repeating pattern of making and posting unsupported and illogical statements that have no sense. Every single time when the layoffs happened there was a script from HR that had to be presented to the managers and there was training on that. This was also precede by some internal announcements even if the public statement included explicit or implicit indications of comming layoffs.
Smaller companies could and would lay you off in a blink of an eye. That is not the case for companies of this size. You can't leak info about comming LRs before the public statements and you can not give anybody a training in this respect. This would be similar with leaking insider trading information and the repercussions would outweight the LR "gains"

Some people love it, some people hate it, but all people with any connection to reality acknowledge that instability has been greatly increased.
It'll be interesting to see how many employees Cisco reports as having and the end of this fiscal year because after layoffs they always seem to grow back quickly.

I read this post and laugh! I am in leadership and in my almost 20 years here I have never seen it so bad! There WILL be a layoff at the end of Q4 and it WILL be quite large!
