Hi all,
As a tech in the fab, I'm not worried about getting fired this round. However, we are severely understaffed and hiring is frozen until 26'. I'm hoping to leave with a new job by the end of this year. It's going to su-k to leave as my team is awesome(leaving them with more work RIP), but I don't think staying here will be beneficial in the long run for a variety of reasons. For those of you that have left/been let go/taken a package etc., where did you go? Did you bother staying in the tech industry or switch? What companies are a step up from the Intel grind culture and what ones are worse (e.g. Amazon)? Intel supposedly had benefits to make up for lower pay, but is the higher pay worth having less benefits?

I don't believe OP ever worked for Intel.
Obviously a loser troll post, and/or OP has no agency.
Leave yesterday, quit taking up space and preventing others from actually working
Leave INTEL ASAP.
Techs are not safe as well, been there, over 25 years, grade 57
INTEL is not the same company like it was before 25 years.
The world is much brautiful without INTEL.
In fact, you will find a better job, thats for sure.
Best thing I did was taking VSP last round and have a happier life now without 12 hours shift in the CR. No regrets at all.
You sound intelligent, articulate, and competent, so you clearly are not an H1B. I'm sure you will do well in whatever you choose to do in the months and years to come. Best wishes!
Mcdonalds is hiring. Get woke, go broke.
