If you can, you should. Been here over 25 yrs and keeping your job is like a roulette wheel. No amount of superior performance is going to help. The environment is toxic and abusive and will continuously take you to the edge of feeling like you may have a nervous breakdown, or permanently lose your mind. This is not how people should have to exist on the job, but I stayed for the pension and just need to make it a few more years. The thing is, Ford will remain abusive as long as they have the 2 bookends it depends upon. Pension eligible people that are just trying to make it across the line and will take any abuse dished out, and all the LCC & H1B cheap labor. I plan to walk the day I officially book my 30. I don't want to give Ford one more hour of my soul if possible. I continue to work hard but it is so sad to have work feel like a prison sentence. Years ago the pension was something that made you put up with a lot. I didn't realize how high the price really was. I just hope I won't be one of those people that drop dead within 5 years of retirement given all i have sacrificed. That is what fills my thoughts now.
