Thread regarding Ford layoffs

This has to be just the beginning

If you have a transferable skill, don’t wait.
Go.

Leave Ford first.

If you need a job, look somewhere else.

Look how badly Ford treats their employees.

If you have been working at Ford for over a year, then you have no skills to transfer. You have lost all of your skill from working at Ford. Best of luck finding a job somewhere else.

It might be a couple months before the next one, but Ford’s products ate not winners, the management is clueless in their arrogance, and the ship is sinking.

They essentially trespass you from ford for the rest of your life. You won't be hired again at ford, or at ford owned company, or even if a supplier hires you, you can not work on ford assignments, EVER AGAIN, regardless of whether you sign their waiver or not.

I don't know how this is even legal, these cuts are so common, that if you get impacted in few companies several times in your career, you are essentially blocked from a job pool of few hundred companies.

And that means you may not ever get a job if you don't want to leave your state.

I don’t know why white-collar workers are so afraid to unionize.
