Thread regarding Medical Solutions layoffs

Who is next

What other departments are next? Is there anyone that hasn’t been affected yet?

What’s crazy is top performers and the c suite people went to Jamaica on the company dollar two weeks ago and then come back and fire people the following Monday. That’s a wild and diabolical thing to do.

I agree with the comment about MedSol taking over C&A. Medical solutions seems to grasp at straws every day on what to do. Their numbers are also skewed. Aureus had hundreds of placements that were used to up medical solutions numbers. Facilities did not want to work with medsol so essentially the facilities would believe they would be working with aureus and their travelers but in reality they would be getting medsol. Aureus would place and gather the info and then it would go into medsol as if they “got the deal” when in reality they didn’t. The company will be under before we know it. Or it won’t but it’ll just be computer based system with no real relationships with anyone. They keep trying to copy other companies and get “bigger and better” but they’re missing the fact that they have no idea what they’re doing. They’re also laying off people based on department and not based on performance. With every layoff they leave behind the bottom of the barrel.

Ever since Medical Solutions bought out or "took over" C&A all it's ever been about is the almighty dollar. They could give two craps about who has a job or how the employees feel. As longs they are making money hand over foot then no one cares. When it was C&A Larry and Kathy actually cared about people and not just profit.

@jq+1jv5a5e6h I don’t work for the company anymore but there is a difference. I’m just pointing that out.

@bw+1jv5a5e6h what koolaid are you drinking? You must still work for the company and have a "safe" job if you are defending them. I'd say that shifting work offshore to the Philippine's is outsourcing. You better go back and confer with leadership on your comment...

There is another town hall today so the next layoff calls will be made Tuesday if they keep to their patterns.

At the end of the day, the company could have made the honorable decision and filed bankruptcy and just completely shut down. I think many people would have understood and accepted that better than how they went about this by outsourcing. Everyone knows they can pay them less than an American worker which is why they are outsourcing.

The honorable thing the company should have done is shut down and accepted that was the fate of the company. The damage has been done, the name has been tarnished, and a bad reputation is what this company now holds.

Medical solutions is not “outsourcing”. They own WWS. WRS is part of the Medical Solutions brand. There is a difference.

Call your congress person! Introduced in 2021 “End Outsoursing act” this needs to be voted in. This has to stop happening to American workers from companies that make bad choices and end up broke like this company and the American worker is the one who suffers in the end.

I agree! The care teams are safe to give the illusion to clinicians and clients that it’s an onshore company. Anyone else will be gone. The finance dept will be hit for sure in the next 60 days. What a shithole of a company it’s turned into.

Honestly I think every job position will be offshore except these care teams. They need to communicate with facilities and clinicians dut to language barrier. Sad that so many hard workers have been let go, left, or will be let go, or are currently working on leaving. Best of luck to this company but I think they are creating their own downfall. These offshore workers are held to a higher standard with this company than the ones who have worked here for years. It’s disgusting who this company has become over the last few years.
