Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Cisco will follow suit and do the same. Its all they know and are good at.

Cisco will have some bullsh-t statement with a similar quote as well.

Microsoft on Tuesday said that it’s laying off 3% of employees across all levels, teams and geographies.

“We continue to implement organizational changes necessary to best position the company for success in a dynamic marketplace,” a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement to CNBC.

Will Cisco layoff middle management like Microsoft is doing ?

not if the SBG "leadership changes" email yesterday was an indication

summary:

Nameless-Exec who used to report to Flaccid-Leader now reports to Other-Nameless-Exec

also, Obvious-DEI-Hire will be taking on the role of SVP-Of-Answering-Webex-Questions

I had to gather the whole family around to tell them the news...we've never witnessed synergies like this in our lifetimes! It's actually difficult for a simple IC like me to imagine the impact on Go-To-Market this will have

by the way, can some explain what the he-l "Go-To-Market" actually means?

Cisco’s move for cuts might be slightly higher at 5-7% and then a big cut probably between 10-15% in August.

15-22% over three months? The quarterly results would have to be cataclysmic and Cisco would be back down to $25. The market has priced in the equivalent of a 5-10% rank-n-yank which Cisco has been doing since 2001 and the only reason they got away with 2001's 27% was because it was sold as a one time event.
