Does HR get held accountable for falsifying reports?

For leaking reports, internal investigation fabricating, cover ups?
HR does get laid off as well. They are not immune.
I should have said, if you’re not sure it’s a crime, ignore it. Stay far away from it but ignore it unless you are somehow being dragged into it.
The purpose of HR is to advocate for the company.

If it is a crime, go to the police or a lawyers or a reporter, or post the info anonymously on social media somehow.
