Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Unbelievable

Apparently knowing your job and treating your team well gets you shown the door at PepsiCo. Our last manager was sharp, actually helped us, and had our backs. Now she's gone. The new one is clueless, never around when we need him, but front and center when it’s time to take credit. And leadership acts like this was some kind of upgrade.

This is so true, I could point to a half dozen cases where they let great people go, people who motivated others and made reasoned decisions, last year or two in S&T you get promoted for being A+ at su-king up to Athina and her directs, anyone who tries to apply logic and questions - bye bye. It's a slowly sinking ship at the moment, ship is on the reef and engines still full ahead, how Ramon doesn't see it really baffles me, perhaps she has some dirt on him, I can't think of any other reason.

When leaders at PFNA will come to their sense and stop wasting money at S&T and DPA projects ? The so called digital transformation at Pepsico is a joke, and the longer the DPA charades will last the longer Pepsico will remain on downwards trajectory!

really sickening behavior from some VP ´leaders´ at S&T and DPA. Pepsico aims to have integrity and transparency at core to its culture and communication, both internally and externally; were open dialogue and honest feedback are encouraged; and at the same time you have frequent abusive language used by some of their VP leaders - enough to cheer when you see Pepsico share of markets going down. Hypocrisy, nepotism and incompetence are ruining the company, and a serious shake up of S&T should take place getting rid off leaders who simply are not leaders and only care about their deep pockets!

This sounds about right, I was told in one meeting to continue to speak to a certain someone in Management about the "xyzy of business" then told in the next meeting to stop talking to this person altogether. This was very childish considering the Manager I was speaking with worked on the same line of business that I did. We would often team up to make sure performance was where it needed to be. The ask was impossible to do, we saw each other or counterparts in meetings. Plus, I took it upon myself to think outside the box and establish strong working relationships with people who operated in the same circles as I and had the same goal in mind. They wanted me silenced because the Manager knew my true work ethic and the battles I was facing. My direct Management did not like the idea of someone else speaking about me in a positive light using me as a positive example to other team members. My direct management wanted me out so that they could put someone half my age in my role. PepsiCo loves Interns so they can mold them to be working machines for them. I love how this company presents themselves as the king of kings beverage company to recruit people, that you should feel privileged to get the chance to work here. The privilege part is actually said in recruitment videos. LMAO.

This Statement tracks with where this toxic company is going. Pi-s poor decisions made by management. In my experience, if you are a Latino, Speak Spanish, and Young then promotion and longevity is inevitable regardless of how you treat anyone else. This company allows unprofessional, bullying, lying, and unethical behavior to spew from its core. It's easy to have someone let go without true justification, just lie about them and set them up to fail on purpose and not provide the same resources to them as other people are given. It's sad when a Manager and the Manager's Boss who is a Director gaslights an employee on top of the team lead. This company will let you go with a one sided view in a heartbeat under the reign of bullies. The company does not want change and open minded thinking for process improvement, they want you to speak fearlessly and act under their strict conditions and guidelines not free thinking with professionalism and wisdom. They don't want over 40 year olds or anyone that has a disability or anyone that is smarter than management. There are too many wolves in sheep's clothing at this company. The Bias Is Real!!! And for the LOVE keep your mouth shut to HR and dont call the report line. They will find out and know who did it and will factor this into letting you go in addition to the false pretense already being established.

Just look at the stock. Over the last 5yrs it’s gained (4)%. Back down to heavy Covid days. Only red on my watchlist today and not going any where soon.

Apparently……putting people in roles they’re not ready or qualified for has been happening for far too long. Unfortunately the company I started with has been transformed and is now falling on its face. Losing share, sitting routes, poor execution, and getting worse not better. Said

Look at DPA, for example, a circus of incompetence run by ´leadership´ driving their own personal agenda of outsourcing projects to low cost low quality India!
