Sorry if that sounds d-mb, I’m just so stressed right now my blood pressure is through the roof. I’m trying to make sense of everything.

Please do not stress too much. I was cut in 2023. I was actually relieved. The uncertainty, pressure and negativity that I worked under was gone. I took some time off to decompress and decide my next steps. I found that helped me not make a snap decision out of fear or anxiety. I now enjoy going to work each day and know if that stops, I can confidently find employment elsewhere.
Have to say this layoff site is a lot more humane today.
Dag-nabbit Farley, get it together!
Its challenging to take this lightly. The job market is abysmal. Tens of thousands of jobs have been cut by multiple companies so the competition is going to be brutal.
TBH losing a job is not the end of the world. Prioritize your wellbeing and for good.
I understand the stress you are under. But please take care of your health. Worrying or stressing will only make things worse. Stay calm, gather yourself and prepare yourself for the long road ahead. Layoffs or not it is going to take some time for things to work themselves out.
Health is much more important than any job. Take care
Another sign of trouble is if tomorrow you get a 15 minute meeting notice with an LL4 and you never have meetings with LL4s.
It appears the real test is to see if you can send an email with a file attachment.
Those who can’t are probably not going to have a good day.
