Guys don't use your work email. Log into Gmail in the browser. Attach files but don't send, just save the email as a draft.
And personal device you log into Gmail with will be able to see the saved email and attachments in the drafts folder. That's how you get your personal files.
I tried to send some attachments, It doesn't say anything like that. I am able to send emails to myself and my personal email. I am in the CVS org and I got that email too.
They prob just froze all of cvs from sending emails with attachments for now until layoffs r done.
Anyone else getting "emails outside your org are blocked" ? I cant even email my personal email.
If you can’t send email attachments, check for a 15 minute meeting with your LL4 tomorrow. Then take a few shots of your favorite adult beverage. Or a V-lium.

They hope you won’t notice you can’t attach files since that’s something people do less often.

Fnv2/3 dev here. I am able to send emails with attachments to myself ... Idk what attachments have to do with being laid off or no though. I mean if you're getting cut won't it make more sense that they'll block your ability to send emails all together?
Should I just try attaching anything? Do I need to send as well?
I can still send email but not with attachments.
The one who mentioned that they can send email, have you tried with attachments and to an external email.

Looks like people who are restricted to send emails with attachments are going to be laid off. Just saw many mentioning this they can't send email to their personal email accounts with any document

SO and DF have major conflicts of interest. BC existed before SO came. This is not some SO invention, it is legacy Ford. Not your tech bro free lunch Lat.
Who's at risk the most? Contractor? Juniors? Seniors? Salaried full time?
@ad+1jv33w4j9 BlueCruise is the one that Ford is banking on. It's unlikely that they would even be impacted by all of this. Moreover, this email today was addressed to CVS folks and SO's org is outside of CVS
SO org needs to be emptied completely tbh

People who have seen 2023 layoffs know, this is how they do it. They will give all the details by afternoon 14th afternoon. Most of the layoffs they've planned will be done tomorrow.
99% of the time, this board is filled with hooey and fear mongering.
This is the 1% May annual layoff and now it’s about to go down. Good luck and hope severance is decent this time.

I asked few of my colleagues in US and they haven't received the email. I am based out of Ottawa and have just received email asking to work from home on 13th and 14th May. This is really worrying.
