We have volume pricing. The more you buy, the less you pay per case. Big box stores buy pallets with great savings. (It's why big box stores have soda as a loss leader.) Mom & Pops buy a case or two, thus get no deals. This isn't new.

It is well known internally that we take “profit” on smaller customers to invest with larger customers. That’s what I was told when I managed small accounts and passed along crazy pricing.
