3Q22 Employment 21,200

Employment continues to drop, which we know anecdotally from this site, and here's the evidence, with Y/E revenue and cash flow guidance down-adjusted.

Y/E 2021 23,300
Y/E 2020 25,100
Y/E 2019 27,000
Y/E 2018 32,400 (In July 2018, major changes to severance pay and health coverage)
2Q 2018 34,300
Y/E 2017 35,300

I think the actual employee count is 21,190 and then there’s the 10 tinkerbells that cry on this website daily about their feelings. Hopefully they will be gone shortly, but then again they’ll still post on here even afterwards and treat this like their diary. Lol.

I was just saying the numbers are a bit wrong because many workers just rebadged and are no longer counted in the amounts quoted. How does that get negative reactions from you tinkerbells?

@ @1eij+1jumcs1m ,

Not really since all of us are doing about three jobs and it now takes two to three weeks for the "outsourced" to do something we were able to knock out in a day with the in house folks. We have a backlog of stuff that needs to be billed out going back for more than six months now. And try and get new equipment added into the systems so that service calls can be placed on them... that's a real hoot.

Happily for me, I just singed a contract/offer letter and will be out of here in two weeks. Or tomorrow if they release me when I turn in my notice. That sounds about right for how they would treat someone that's been here for 17 years.

A bit misleading due to outsourcing.

Five years ago, we had around 250 people at our core. Today we have about 50 including all departments - Sales, Service, Op's and Admin.

We've lived it, but seeing the yearly numbers is a gut punch

Interesting. Thank you for posting this. Looks like the magic number is about 2K total reductions per year which brings enough savings to keep the titanic afloat. That means in about 11.5 years there will be 2 people left there lol.
What a dump!

I am betting $20 that the Q4 number will be <20K.
