New hires here will be retained for 3 years and then discarded afterward. The aim is to let them go cheaply without severance once the major work on the project is completed. This has been the new employee experience for a decade.

I'm a bit puzzled by the strong dislike for AA within the group. Yes, I understand there were issues with the leaders he appointed, and many projects unfortunately failed. Some people have also pointed out a certain fakeness. But he's human, like all of us. Perhaps we could show a bit of sympathy?
AA has low self-respect. Unlike the others who bounced, he'll stick around until DG's team kicks him out. it's obvious they have no respect for the guy. Yikes.

Salaries are dropping like a rock in the real world, the down leveling going on is insane. NM could cut salaries by 30% across the board and still be paying above current market rates, the new hires coming in are incredibly talented and accepting crazy lowball offers
Its sad that new hires who receive a joining bonus or relocation package often leave before their first job anniversary.
Hundreds of mid-level employees didn't spare the C-suite either.
