So tired of having to listen to people talk about when is the next layoff, I’m not leaving until I get laid off. I’m leaving now because I can’t wait around until I get laid off. Oh my gosh does this ever end? Well other than when you get actually laid off.

In IT, some consultant's contract will not be extended.
Goldman had one layoff in Feb I think and another one coming soon in May according to a friend that works there. So this is not out of the question that there might be another at Morgan, but question is who will they target? I doubt proclaimed low performers this time around since I don't understand why have low performers stick around longer. That is just bad PR. That excuse card is taken and was used last time. My guess would be middle management VPs and some EDs. A possible group that could also be it would be back offices that are no longer needed or tech teams that can be off shored since they are tariff proof. At least that is my hypothesis
