At least 50% of middle managers should go. They do nothing but waste time in meetings, repeating the same points over and over. There is plenty of fat to cut here, but the problem is that it is never the real fat that gets cut. Instead, it is the people who actually do the work that keeps this place running.

I’m one of those layoffs. 27 years in a very rural area servicing production print sites. Drive times are already as much as 2 hours between sites, but they have decided that they can cover the same territory, with a reduction overall workforce, from what is already two hours away. I was told my customers would just have to get used to ‘2 day response times’ rather than the typical 1.5 hr response on average
