Reposted from whoever wrote it as a comment in one of the threads, so true:
Everyone’s blaming Jon for the layoffs but see if there have been 3 CEOs since 2015 and various CLT members, that’s when the ridiculous decision making and constant layoffs started, the only common factor is the Mafia. The Mafia started to become all powerful right around then, got promoted consistently to VP/SVP. Yes the full range of CLT are clearly incompetent to be so influenced by them so easily, but the incompetence of the Mafia is what’s destroying this once amazing company.
I’ll add that this company once had an incredible reputation of being ahead, of being progressive, of having the brightest minds. Now it’s just eye rolls, a reputation of not knowing how to do business plans and ‘when’s your next layoffs?’. This has nothing to do with politics though they’re a barrier. Companies like CNRL, Imperial haven’t done a single round of layoffs in the last 7 years. Not one. The Mafia all stick together because they are unemployable elsewhere and totally incompetent and the CLT and Board keep padding their pockets and supporting them. That’s what’s wrong with this company.
