UK for sure turned toxic as of 2019 courtesy of those two: DM and CP. DM have been kicked over to pollute Middle East and CP, courtesy of his uncle the SVP, has been “promoted” to CTO EMEA.
Not sure who the guy you folks are referring to, but he is probably better off away from the cesspool of the UK org. UK org is dead. They can’t even find SEs to work for them any more. The political toxicity of this org is well known in UK tech ecosystem. And yes, thank CP and DM for destroying a thriving tech community here with their nonsensical, ego driven, bullying style of administering.
Cisco is not the company to pursue career if you’re a great engineer. As someone said earlier, true innovative engineers are driven out by the egos of those who are their [useless] jealous seniors. This is a sales company trying to sell bolted together Frankenstein solutions under the umbrella of “architectures”. It’s all complete BS.

With the current clowns on the ELT Cisco will miss every single transition. Cisco is a follower and not a leader. Name one worthwhile thing Cisco have innovated in the last ten years. Zilch. Nada.

This is hilarious and shows why the vacuous Prima Donnas get promoted at Cisco. This is from CP in 2018: "thoughts on quantum networking, Chintan. Today, he is hyping the news all over. The lack of technical vision is shocking and these are the people who get prominence at Cisco and become a CTO.
I knew a guy under him at Cisco UK who was totally into quantum and AI both. If I am not wrong, he had the first ever publication and patents on quantum tech out of Cisco. But, CP hired a DEI hire as a manager and the new manager got on the guy's case. She pushed him out of the company. Now, she and CP are both hyping this news, that was within the company for the last 3-4 years and folks working on it got pushed out by these same people.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is Cisco, where parasites thrive.
