Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

This is no way to manage

Walmart management operates like an assembly line for employees - use them up, discard them, grab the next one off the pile. They flat-out tell you, "plenty would be happy to take your job." No wonder the stores feel chaotic and service su-ks. You get what you pay for, and they’ve made it clear we’re worth nothing.

It’s not the Walton family that makes working for Walmart su-k now. The Walmart family has very little to do with day to day operations.

The three largest employers in the world treat their employees poorly. Look at the ownership.

I’m sorry to say this, but, the honest truth is that most (not all) store associates probably can’t get a different job. They are at Walmart because no one else will have them. It’s sad, but true. Store management would love to have a higher educated and more knowledgeable workforce, but that’s not ever going to happen. It’s a very sad situation.

So, what’s your point? I mean, it’s not like workforce in the stores are the pick of the hiring pool litter. The only requirement to work at Walmart is your heart must be beating. You don’t even have to speak English or have a high school diploma. Walmart will even hire you with a criminal record. If you can qualify for a better job with more responsibilities and better pay, why haven’t you left Walmart?
