Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford has lost its luster

Remember when owning a Ford was a point of pride in America? That pride’s gone, and we have ourselves to blame. The quality went from great to good to barely passing in just a few years. On top of that, we’ve been chasing the wrong priorities. Now we’re looking at a company coasting into its sunset.

Why would you buy such a complex piece of equipment? They are almost disposable so your options are to lease or extended warranty and hope for the best.

Pulling cabs to get at engines or removing interiors to fix HVAC systems is cray cray...

Why not have Billy restore Alcatraz to its glory too.

I agree with WRONG PRIORITIES. How about just sticking with transportation? aka an alternative to walking or having to carry items over distance. I DO NOT care about badging/logos or interior/exterior trim packages. When you are on the inside, you see a minimum of the outside. When you are on the outside you see a minimum of the inside. When do you ever see BOTH SIMULTANEOUSLY? While you are driving and in motion, vision is mostly focused on objects in the front FOV (Field of View) with occasional glances to side/rear-view mirrors. When it is parked in the garage, what exactly do you see? I hate to break it to the design group, but minimalism is back and alive and flourishing. How much cost avoidance would there be from having just (3) STANDARD interior colors/materials (logo/brand/ model identifiers (tooling, storage space, potential for assembly errors)? Profits? I would rather sell 10,000 hotdogs at a profit of $2 each than sell 100 steaks at a profit of $10 each. There is an old saying. A fool and his $ are soon parted. The same applies to FOOLISH companies and their customers. NOTE: If CUSTOMERS cannot get what THEY want at the price they are willing to pay instead of only having the options that design groups offer, THEY WILL BUY ELSEWHERE! No steak sauce for me, but please pass the ketchup if you still want my business!
