I've been looking into other opportunities for months now, hoping to find something before we sink, and nothing. I've landed only two interviews, both of them bad offers with significantly lower pay. I declined both.
I'm starting to regret not taking a job. I don’t see any real attempt around here to turn the ship around, nor do I see the job market improving anytime soon.

What is the current rate of severance in the U.S. for those who don’t have retirement?

Took about a year but I found something for 1/2 my XRX salary. Really enjoy the work and happy I was in a position where pay didn’t matter too much. Depending where you are, transferability of skills, and age it could be tough. 50+ in Monroe County with $100k plus comp I would say impossible right now. Remote is still out there but less. Good luck.
