Donald Trump wants to oust three members of a national privacy watchdog that is a key part of Europeans’ privacy protections in the United States — spelling trouble for thousands of U.S. companies moving personal data out of Europe.

EU has strict rules for personal data privacy and laws for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). They have fined American companies like Apple, Amazon, Google, Meta (FB), Uber, etc... before, for transferring personal data out of Europe. TikTok got fined also for transferring user's personal data to China. It will get worse now and they will go after even more American companies for violating GDPR.
