Retention bonus is not worth it.
As of December 1st you’re 30+ pension could be worth $200,000 less.
And it won’t recover for many many years!
Smoke and mirrors. This company is not trustworthy. Take the money of course, then get out as soon as you can!
What will they do after getting retained? Will they do what they should have already done, which is mentor younger employees? If a retirement eligible person is in a critical position, a competent manager would have a succession plan.
