Layoff paperwork

For those that have been laid off were you required to sign noncompete paperwork in order to receive your severance?

It's usually an exit letter/separation notice and then the severance notice with a bunch of clauses outlining what you can and cannot do if you accept the severance. That document comes via DocuSign. The amount offered is actually less than what you'll receive as they tax it quite a bit. Most had about $1,000 taken in taxes.

They also give you info on EAP, and COBRA (if you had health insurance through the company).
