Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

To those who doubted me.....

I recall at the end of August and into early September I gave some high-level information about some potential layoffs but didn't want to go into a ton of detail because I needed to protect myself. People doubted me and were rude when I was trying to help, here is the thread as a reminder

https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1itgdpFI

Please come tell me again that I was wrong, that I was fearmongering or had no information. If it wasn't for people being rude and doubting everything, I may have posted more information to help the impacted people, but this is what you get when a bunch of trolls get involved and purely want to cause problems. And for people thinking you have to be a part of the C-suite to have known that information please stop being so d-mb. Outsourcing and using vendors of this magnitude take many months to plan if not up to a year. It involves numerous individuals and groups of teams to be involved before an announcement is made to employees, people you may have thought were friends or trusted colleagues were working on this but couldn't say anything because they may lose their jobs.

To the people that doubted me, I laugh at you, I pitty you and I hope you can somehow find a better life.

To those impacted, I'm sorry. This news sucks, it's a tactic to cut costs and move expenses. I hope you find something better and have successful lives (however you individually define it). I don't think there have been any public news written about the developments, maybe you can go to the press to let them know what is happening.

This is all part of a multi-year plan to reduce expenses. The biggest expense to the company in the eyes of leadership is you(the employees). The writing is and has been on the wall for many years. People will always be resistent to it until it hits them.

“people you may have thought were friends or trusted colleagues were working on this but couldn't say anything because they may lose their jobs” There were lots of NDA’s that got signed over the past year.

@OP+1jt4TRNg Uhm news flash:

No one doubted you because no one follows this board that directly (well, can't speak for Rep Defender vendor or HR direct charges).

Take your ego and go pat self on back some more (or fish for moral support on .... the internet)

@lsq+1jt4TRN Correct : Board should be called malcontent pity party rumorville.

So more cutting of dead weight do it, I'm tired of working with it. There's a reason Econ id--ts were losing market share but waste time trying to explain it to this group.

Well you are definitely an Allstate manager, I can tell by your pompous, overbearing, needlessly wordy post.

Congratulations to you for acting like a third grader and spreading gossip. Who cares that you violated someone’s trust in you and provided you classified and confidential information. People like you are what is wrong with our company today. If you lose your job at Allstate, you certainly have a potential career with the National Enquirer. Grow up

Several of us posted accurate information and details of what was and is coming. I for one thank you for having the integrity to let fellow Allstaters know what you knew. I too posted some details about all this and I too was trolled and harassed by that who had no clue and no idea. I also gave details about back in 2020 as well. I stopped once all the nastiness came towards me and I will not post such information again. A shame when you can't post about layoffs and related events on a board meant for layoffs without being attacked. From now on I lurk.

Just a reminder that there were some of us who thanked you and pushed back against the attacks on your credibility.
