latitude is a bunch of failed flunkies from Argo that wasted billions without producing a single thing.. just leach on the resources of Ford.

Sammy O is a fake, just like Bryan S, Franck ( the felon lol ) LV, Doug F, Robert M, etc etc etc.... oh the worst one, Jim F. The AV LLc couldnt deliver, tech wasn't close to implementation ready, waaaaay over cost and the business teams couldnt generate any revenue ..... hmmm sounds like Canopy lololol.
Latitude are IMO crooks, they find existing work that's been bookshelved and rebrand it as their own - shame shame Sammy.
Whats not good is Farley thinks its great and is pushing it through while the competition has lepafrogged to better solutions. Look through the Linkedin of the AV folks that were cut in August of 2022, they landed at the competition and are ki-ling it. yea, smart move FoMoCo, save some pennies sc--wing folks over their pensions and promote inexperienced fakes. Good job! Thats my rant, thanks for reading.

Sammy (latitude CEO) is a joke. Young, inexperienced who got lucky to know the right people. He was in charge of ADAS and then had the entire department laid off once he became the latitude CEO, forcing Ford to rely on them. If you look at his linked in resume, it's clear he's going to jump ship once a better offer comes along, he doesn't care about ADAS future, and our management couldn't see thru his act.

Latitude goes snooping in Ford repos to copy paste as well.

To make things worse one of DFs direct reports is the CEO of it.
I don’t see how this isn’t conflict of interests. And this is the only reason latitude can ask for specs and do a copy paste. Nevertheless one needs a bit of common sense even to copy paste.

Eating their free catered lunches and snacks while their ADAS solution is 5 years behind the competition.

@bb+1jt3gprhq when someone says "full stop" after a statement, it suggests that they aren't interested in other people's ideas and think they know it all. nobody knows it all.

Thanks for the read.
Rip miles.
It seems we need to study history before getting in a race to understand if we are setup to lose.

Funny thing is they often copy stuff from existing ford features and call it their own and management gets super impressed

The best talent in high tech is California full-stop. Not in Detroit or Dearborn.

It makes perfect sense to have that region lead the company's most important work. Plus some of the top Ford leadership is located in California.

I won’t believe this Cali skunkworks until they crash a unit and get miles on them. Free to not meet Ford specs without guardrails is not a good precedent to set.

For how well they are compensated I expect a lot more out of that group but they are just above the average Ford engineer. Don't expect them to succeed where ADAS failed.

Yah exactly. And the leadership prefers them over 30+ year industry vets who know none of their stuff will ever work or makes any sense but that's just how Fords leadership is operating these days.

Replace Adas?? These clowns couldn’t even get the self driving up and running and eventually had to shutdown because of incompetency

They are gonna replace Adas. They are no longer doing L3 but working on building everything in house ground up that includes L0, L1, L2+. Just as CE1 replaced fnv4, latitude is going to replace Adas. Ford leadership's hard pivot towards California for all advanced engineering work.

You are absolutely correct! They should shut that whole area down and put those funds towards improving quality and reducing warranty. That area is a complete waste of money.
