Anyone have any insight into who will be offered the new VSP? PP said in her video that the criteria would not be the same as the one in Operations, but I listened in on a town hall and a member of the ELT implied it would be Rule of 70 and addressed several questions very matter of factly about it. Wasn’t that the criteria used in Ops?

Jennifer Kingston needs to go. She is just a rallying girl. Serves no real purpose, but to hold pep rallies with basketball players with messed up personal lives. Fawns over celebrities who claim to be great business people when all they know how to do is call people with special access to a professional team’s season ticket holder list. Kingston is as useless as teats on a bull.
For June it’s 50 gps in HO with a couple of hundred non gps. Fun times ahead
The reality is that offering VSPs to level 5-7 doesn't even make material dent in the savings they are aiming for, so unless entire areas get wiped out, trying to trim existing functions that are needed from associates below level 14-15 is pretty much pointless. This will be top heavy exercise. As much as everyone is always complaining about bloated GPs and clueless leaders, maybe for once it is worth acknowledging that they are actually doing that and firing those people.
Per the Service Town Hall, VSPs will start later in May to June.
It would have to be based on performance. They can't specifically target people eligible for Rule of 70 because that would be a clear case of age based discrimination, though when people were laid off in Ops last year they waived the minimum age requirement to get around that. I'm not sure if they can legally use geographic area (out of hybrid range) though there are no legal protections in place based on location. You might have heard something that is only specific to your division because a big driver of Reimagine is that we have roles that are going obsolete.
At town hall, “VSP will not be role based but will be based on other criteria.” Any idea what this means? Performance? HBA v. St. Louis based? Other?
Can’t blame her. If I was married to that tool id cheat too.
McKinsey turbo-dweeb Chubak needs to take a VSP.
Maybe he can pay for his wife and his wife's boyfriend to have a nice vacation together.
They need to have the entire ELT take ISP. That would save more than enough money. No branch teams would need to speak with Indians either. But hey, what do I know? I make less than $20 million per year, so I guess I’m not qualified to “lead”.
Age + years of service >= 70
What is rule of 70?
I'm wondering if they will let us proactively ask for a VSP instead of waiting (and waiting and waiting). Does anyone know?
Ops assaociate here. Yes, rule of 70 is what they used on us for the VSP offered in october to any level 5,6,7 or anyone who wanted it. The 5-7 levels were told their positions were going away at some point and they could either take VSP or ride it out and see what happens. Almost like they were saying "take this VSP now because you won't get a better offer later on". The october offer was also a better package than my previous team who got "optimized" to india. We were the test dummies of the ops division to see how fun it was to train cognizant to take our jobs. Some of my old area got lucky with new roles, others got let go last May. Good times.
