Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

How likely are you to be working here in one year?

I'm curious to see how many see this as just a temporary job at this point. Not that I can blame anybody, with everything that's been happening.

Google will determine what not to do from 1S and make their product even better. Then leave Sabre in the dust with fewer customers. Not a good long term vision for Sabre.

Neither Google nor Expedia will acquire Sabre (unfortunately) due to antitrust regulations.

Google had started their acquisition campaign long time ago. All those Google folks starting Wolverine driving decisions beneficial for Google. Guys at the top like the labs leader moving everything that was possible to similiar google services instead of better Sabre ones. A few more cuts and the package will be ready to go.

I think we won’t be fired so they can save severance payments but outsourced somehow. Days of packages are over. I do not want to leave either but just going to ride it out.

Tbh, they are paying me too much to consider switch. I'm on principal level. So I'm planning to be the last one who turns the lights off. Or they just fire me someday. Doesn't really matter.
