Just wet your finger and stick it in the air. Chevron HR policy changes as often as the wind changes direction. Good luck. I retired 10 years ago on my own terms while the getting was good.
So if you retire CIP is considered a benefit where you had to have the 75 points? This is policy? WTH
To build on 2ixi comment, please investigate the fine print regarding number of points you currently have. I believe there might be a stipulation that you need to have 75 points when you retire (2022) to get the bonus the following year (2023), or else you won't get the bonus.
If you’re quitting in November, then no you get no bonus paid in 2023. If you are retiring, then yes you get a prorated bonus based on the base salary you earned in 2022. If you wait and quit after the March 2023 CIP payout, then you receive the full amount.
You have to be working in 2023 up to the payroll date to receive the 2022 bonus. Correct?
You’ll get a prorated CIP bonus only if you put in a minimum of 1 quarter or more as an employee. So obviously if you were on the payroll in 2022 through April 1, you’ll get 3 months of the annual bonus when the total amount is known in early 2023. If you were on the payroll for less than 3 months this current year, you won’t get any part of the CIP.
Getting a prorated bonus depends on your age plus years of service number: If the number don’t add up then you have to be lain off to get the prorated bonus.
If you’re not here on Dec. 31st, no bonus for you!
Generally they will pro-rate it favoring them, not you. Buh-bye!
