Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

NetApp used to be "Best Place to Work"

Man, what has happened to NetApp throughout the years. This place used to be in the top 20 "Best Places to Work" list. What happened to its culture? Bring back Tom Mendoza please!!

Wow, as someone who watched Tom M steer this org into a nose dive into the ground from 30,000 feet. wtf are you thinking? Stock went to almost $10 share under his "guidance".

It's unfortunate the rift raft got hired at NetApp.
We have a lot of these rift rafts in Ops right now.

Gone are the days of Tom Mendoza and Dan Warmenhoven running things. NetApp used to be a Greatest Places To Work. It was even ranked number 1 once. What happened to change NetApp was it went through massive growth in an extremely short period of time. When that happened the vetting process was severely reduced and rift-raft got in and turned NetApp into a run-of-the-mill corporate entity. It’s been a regular place to work ever since.

To the previous poster;
Tom M. is NOT an assh..le, he's an extraordinary individual with principles. Tom helped build NetApp from the early days...Tom is one of my heroes actually.

Nothing says 'great leadership' like hitting the layoff button to fire workers, spike the stock, grab a bonus, and distract from the poor performance that decreased the company’s profits.

8500 shares (or more per month). say avg $100 . wow! imagine living "paycheck to paycheck" at $425,000?
even at $40 (hopefully, not going to happen) that would be another 30+ months of $340,000. yes, there is a disconnect between CEO and worker pay. layoffs impacting people who make less than half that lower number in a year.
